HCAC signature’s construction training program begins this coming March. Hispanic subcontractors to straighten relationships with General Contractors.
Charlotte, NC. For the fourth year in a row HCAC offers this program, which allows small and medium Hispanic entrepreneurs to access training while building their management skills. Five very well recognized General Contractors will provide participants with the necessary tools to grow their business.
The HCAC Construction Management Training consists of 21 hours of classroom learning, divided into five modules of different lengths: Solicitation, Bidding, Contract Negotiation and Legal Aspects of Signing Contracts, Project Execution and Growing your Business.
The program’s objective is to create opportunities for GC’s and subcontractors to identify potential partners in the market and develop solid business relationships. This also makes it easier for small and medium sized subcontractors to meet the expectations of GC’s, as they hear first-hand about their requirements. Among the general contractors invited to share their expertise in this program are Clancy & Theys Construction, Balfour Beatty Construction, Rodgers Builders and Messer Construction.
The HCAC Construction Training Management is tailored to subcontractors who are ready to work on commercial projects. Participants must attend all sessions to earn the certification of completion. Classes will take place on Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, starting on March 9 through April 20, 2016.
It has a cost of $200 for HCAC members and $400 for non-members, with a maximum of 15 participants per term. Sponsorships are also available for interested companies who may place their banners and logos at the classes, and offer a ten minute presentation, among other benefits.
