General Contracting License, one step closer for HCAC members

Charlotte, NC. August 12, 2015. The Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas, HCAC, offered for the first time a comprehensive training class for those members willing to obtain the General Contracting License. The class was 8 hours long and took place on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Windsor Professional Center, located at 9709 Northeast Pkwy, Suite 300, Matthews, NC.

This commercial building seminar provided information on the requirements to pass the test to obtain the General Contractors License for commercial projects. Some of the topics included in the workshop were basic requirements to obtain the license, characteristics of the exam, type of questions and duration, revision of the different construction codes covered in the exam, among others.

We were very fortunate to have the support of partners like Wells Fargo and Valspar Paint, who made this program possible, said Julian Arcila, Executive Director of HCAC. An important group of our contractor members asked for this training for some time and now we are able to offer it to them, as part of our efforts for continue improving and diversifying our educational offer, he added.

A group of 13 Hispanic contractors in different trades attended the workshop. For additional information please contact Julian Arcila at (704) 583-4184 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
