The Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas (HCAC), the non-profit representing the interests of the Hispanic construction community in the region and Valspar Paint, international manufacturer of paints and coatings based in Minneapolis, MN, are working together to design a certification program for Hispanic painting contractors in the Carolinas. Valspar’s involvement is an important step in making this program possible.

The objective of the program is to assist Hispanic contractors with informative tools that will help them to become familiar with the latest technology and painting solutions available in the market. The program will be administered by HCAC and taught by Valspar to groups of Hispanic painting contractors who are currently members of HCAC.

“We are very excited about this new program. For many years, we’ve been working to partner with various construction materials manufacturers to educate our members on the best construction practices. We believe that this opportunity will lead to increased professionalism among Hispanic painters and will build confidence in our community knowing that they have the support of a great corporation like Valspar”, said Julian Arcila, Executive Director of the HCAC.

The program is still in a design stage and details will be shared as they become available.  HCAC is working currently with additional manufacturers to explore even more educational opportunities for its members.
