Charleston, SC. On April 16th, The Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas traveled to Charleston, SC, to meet the Hispanic Construction workforce in the area. There was a big surprise since the HCAC had a chance to meet with about 50 construction people, most of them workers and some contractors.

The meeting took place during the Mexican Consulate Health and Information fair, held at the North Charleston Convention Center. From 10 AM to 6 PM, the Hispanic community had the chance to receive information about health, medical services, assistance for the family and more.

The HCAC shared information about its services and agreed to schedule a basic OSHA class on November 5th, when Charleston will host another information and health fair. Additionally, the association gave souvenirs and products from its sponsors, specially National Gypsum Company and Stanley, company that provided us with 50 Hazla en Grande Kits that were distributed among the attendees, most of them involved in Drywall, Painting and Plumbing business.

The HCAC will be attending different events across North and South Carolina to see in what way it can supply the informative needs of the Hispanic community working in construction.
