Description:

Project consists of renovating the three (3) four-story Rams Commons Residence Halls and the two-story Community Building including general construction, HVAC replacement and fire alarm replacement. Please refer to Specification Sections 012100- ALLOWANCES, 012200- UNIT PRICES and 012300- ALTERNATES.

 

Bid Document Access: Complete plans/spec and contract documents will be available for inspection in the offices of Winston-Salem State University (Winston-Salem), Biloba Architecture (Charlotte) and H.M. Kern Corporation (Greensboro). Documents will also be available electronically at H.M. Kern (www.hmkern.com), iSqFt (www.isqft.com) and HCAC (800-227-1680) (www.hcacarolinas.org).

HUB Outreach: HMK offers joint check agreements and quick pay opportunities for minority businesses. In accordance with contract documents, all subcontractors are to include applicable MWBE participation information with their proposal. Project Scope has been broken down into the following categories to promote minority participation: Demolition, Rough & Finish Carpentry, Firestopping, Joint Sealants, Doors/Frames/Hardware, GWB, Resilient Flooring, Carpeting, Painting, Countertop Coatings, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Alarm, Erosion Control and Lawns/Grasses.
