Erwin Elementary
Metcon, as Construction Managers on the Harnett County Schools new Erwin Elementary is requesting any interested subcontractor to pre-qualify.
Project Description: The new Erwin Elementary School will be constructed on the original 15 acre campus on South 10th Street in Erwin, NC. Demolition of the existing buildings and relocation of utilities is currently in progress. The new 102,500 square foot 2-story building will house students in kindergarten to fifth grade. Construction will include concrete spread foundations, slab-on-grade, slab-on-metal deck, brick and CMU load-bearing exterior cavity wall construction with spray foam insulation, structural steel & bar joist framing with standing seam metal roofing on rigid insulation over metal deck. Interior finishes include CMU partitions, gypsum board partitions, acoustical ceilings, vinyl flooring, hard tile, aluminum windows, storefront, personnel doors & hardware, misc specialties, casework and window treatments. Mechanical system will be water source heat pumps with dedicated outside air. Electrical will included LED lighting and low voltage systems. Fire protection sprinkler, elevator, fixed seating, food service, athletic & stage equipment are also included. Site work will include grading, utilities, storm drainage, paving, play fields, landscaping, fencing and other site improvements.
